About LA Nonprofit Concerned Citizens of South Central Los Angeles (CCSCLA)

CCSCLA is a volunteer group, led by Executive Director Noreen McClendon which seeks to inspire and empower all the residents of South Central Los Angeles who are passionate about supporting community projects which improve education prospects, inner-city business redevelopment, affordable housing starts, justice involved individual re-integration and community based social justice reforms which build stronger families in our Los Angeles communities.

Based in South Central Los Angeles CCSCLA has been cultivating an understanding of broad based positive community values since 1985 and putting these principles into practice in the Los Angeles.

Executive Director Noreen McClendon stated:

a major part of the Concerned Citizens of South Central Los Angeles goal is to raise awareness of our mission and priorities as a nonprofit that is changing the way the world tackles education, crime, housing and employment in Los Angeles by seeking out partnerships which invest building transformative businesses that can effectively and sustainably serve the Los Angeles communities.”

and that people in Los Angeles, The State of California and the United States can become involved with CCSCLA by volunteering, sharing our causes on social media, attending CCSCLA sponsored events or by donating to support our many worthy causes.

CCSCLA’s ongoing investments have touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people throughout the Los Angeles basis, from building and operating affordable housing units, to developing shopping centers which bring fresh fruits and vegetables to an underserved community, to investing in youth sports leagues around Los Angeles and by providing jobs to over 300 minorities in the wider Los Angeles region.
