Why Supporting Concerned Citizens of South Central Los Angeles is Important

Concerned Citizens of South Central Los Angeles is one of Southern California’s oldest, most respected and community involved 501(c)3 non-profit organizations who’s stated mission is to empower minorities community across California and the nation through reformed social justice opportunities, engaging corporate America in providing robust economic empowerment choices for inner city youth, recent high school and college graduates as well as the many justice involved individuals in our communities who return home with limited economic opportunities.

Noreen McClendon, Executive Director of CCSCLA, stated that her organization has broaden its approach over the past 25 years to specifically address the severe need for educational advancement programs, economic diversity development, community safety, prison reform, social equity inclusion and local business development projects within the Los Angeles area to help stem systemic gaps in closing both the poverty and educational divide between minorities and all other segments of the US population.
